The Komondor is a large and popular Hungarian sheepdog breed developed in Hungary in the 15th century. The dog was brought by Turkish people cumans in the 12th to 13th century to Hungary, and now the breed is considered the National treasure of the country. The dog breeds are kept pure and prohibit any modification of the Government of Hungary. The dog has thick, long, and strikingly corded hairs, which are the longest among all hairy dog breeds.

The hind parts of the body, the coat mottled and gives protection from foul weather. The hairs on the head and neck are more delicate, and other parts of the body are coarse and long.
