Horse training may be described as the specific teaching to your horse basing on purpose by a human being. The training of horses started in the very early days mainly for the war and agricultural work. But at present days horses are primarily trained for horseback riding, equestrians, sports and in the circus. In the military, horses are mainly prepared for recreational purpose and honor of previous history the horses. In police, horses are primarily trained for controlling riot, crowd, and patrolling.

There are many controversies on equine training as present days because horses are mainly used for horse racing. As per the recommendation of the animal welfare association, racing is the most vital sector of horse abuse. 1. Know Your Horse


At the very beginning of training, you must collect the necessary data of your horse. These include horse breeds, age, health condition, ancestral history, horse anatomy, feeding, breeding, care, and management.

Remount equine training is the foundation training for young horses. The term remount training is mainly used for military horses. In an army stable, a young colt is taken to remount training. The fundamental difference of English Riding from Western riding is holding the horse rein in two hands. Whereas in Western riding, the horse reins hold by one hand.

Dressage is a unique discipline of equine training. The term dressage is widely used in Olympic and other regional sports competition. In dressage horse riding widely seen hunters/humpers, endurance or eventing pattern of training. The cross-country riding training of horses is a general form of horse education. This method is widely used in draft horses.
